8D characters are built from multiple stacked layers for a deep, sculpted profile that stands well clear of the plate face. Built individually for car meets, static displays and photo builds.

Chosen as show plates they are for off-road display only and must not be used on public roads.
Ordering from LLA Plates
8D appears under More Plate Styles in the builder. Type your registration into the plate builder, pick your size, characters and any extras, then choose a front plate, rear plate or a pair. You will see your registration on screen before you pay.
Next-day UK delivery available, with free delivery on orders over £55 (£5.99 below that). Order before 12:00 PM Monday to Saturday for same-day dispatch.

Are 8D plates road legal?
Yes. Select Road Legal in the builder and we make the plates to road legal specification; select Show Plate for off-road display.
How long does an 8D plate take to make?
Every plate is handmade to your registration. Orders placed before 12:00 PM Monday to Saturday are dispatched the same day, with next-day UK delivery available.
Can I order just one plate?
Yes. Every product can be ordered as a front plate only, a rear plate only or a matching pair, and the price changes accordingly in the builder.
Do you need my documents?
Only for road legal plates. After you have ordered and paid we message you on WhatsApp to collect proof of identity and entitlement to the registration — normally your V5C log book plus photo ID. Show plates for off-road display do not require documents.
Order before 12:00 PM (Monday–Saturday) for same-day dispatch.
Orders placed after 12:00 PM or on Sundays will be dispatched on the next working day.
