The square 4x4 size
We cut 4x4 plates at 11 × 8 in (279 × 203 mm), with the registration split across two rows so the characters stay at a sensible size instead of being shrunk to fit one line.
It is the size most owners need when a spare wheel carrier, tailgate mount or bull bar leaves no room for a full-length plate.

Road legal or show
A two-row square plate can be road legal where it is made to the correct character height, spacing, margins and construction for your registration, and carries the supplier details and British Standard number. The builder offers Road Legal only where that applies.
Everything else is supplied as a show plate for off-road display. After a road legal order we contact you on WhatsApp for your V5C and photo ID.

Can a square 4x4 plate be road legal?
Yes, where the finished plate meets the UK requirements for your registration and is built to the British Standard. The builder only offers Road Legal on configurations we can supply that way.
Will my registration fit on two rows?
Standard UK registrations split naturally across two rows. If you have a dateless or unusually short registration, message us on WhatsApp and we will confirm the layout before making the plate.
Do you need my documents?
Only for road legal plates. After you have ordered and paid we message you on WhatsApp to collect proof of identity and entitlement to the registration — normally your V5C log book plus photo ID. Show plates for off-road display do not require documents.
How quickly will my plates arrive?
