Glow-in-the-Dark Number Plates
Glow outline gel plates look like a normal raised gel plate in daylight, then the outline around each character glows once the light drops — an eye-catching finish for evening meets and indoor displays.
Glow-in-the-dark outline gel characters shown on a plate preview — supplied as a show plate for off-road display.
Glow-in-the-Dark is pre-selected in the builder. From £34.99 per plate.
How the glow works
A photoluminescent outline is applied around each gel character. It charges in daylight or under artificial light and then releases that light slowly in the dark — no battery, wiring or electrics involved.
The glow is brightest in the first period after charging and fades gradually, so it shows best at an evening meet or under indoor show lighting rather than as a permanent light source.

Show plate information
Supplied as a show plate for off-road display, exhibition and private land use only. Anything added around the characters takes the plate outside the road-use specification, so glow plates are display only.
There is no legal way to add a glowing or illuminated element to a road-use registration plate in the UK, so keep a compliant set for driving.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are glow-in-the-dark plates road legal?
No. They are supplied as show plates for off-road display only — a road plate must be plain black characters on a reflective background with nothing added.
How long does the glow last?
It charges under light and fades gradually over a period in the dark, then recharges next time it sees daylight. It is a display effect rather than a light source.
Can I order just one plate?
Yes. Every product can be ordered as a front plate only, a rear plate only or a matching pair, and the price changes accordingly in the builder.
