Coloured 4D Number Plates
Coloured 4D plates use the same raised acrylic and gel dome as our 4D gel plates, but the characters are finished in a colour of your choice instead of black — usually matched to the car's paint, wrap or brake calipers.
Coloured 4D gel characters shown on a plate preview — supplied as a show plate for off-road display.
Coloured 4D is pre-selected in the builder. From £39.99 per plate.
Colour-matched characters
Tell us the colour you want in the notes when you order and we will confirm it before the plate is made. The most common requests are gloss white, silver, gold, red and colours pulled from a specific wrap or paint code.
The build is otherwise identical to a 4D gel plate: laser-cut raised acrylic with a domed gel top, so the characters have real depth as well as colour.

Show plate information
Supplied as a show plate for off-road display, exhibition and private land use only. UK road plates must display black characters, so any coloured character set is a show plate.
If you want the depth without the legality question, our standard 4D gel plates can be built to road legal specification in black.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are coloured plates legal in the UK?
No. The registration must be black on a reflective white or yellow background for road use, so coloured characters are supplied as show plates for off-road display.
Can you match a specific paint colour?
Send us the colour or paint code in your order notes, or message us on WhatsApp, and we will confirm what we can match before making the plate.
Can I order just one plate?
Yes. Every product can be ordered as a front plate only, a rear plate only or a matching pair, and the price changes accordingly in the builder.
